Jira Integration Setup
Connect your Jira Cloud account to Forese.ai for seamless project synchronization. Import epics, sync issues to the Knowledge Graph, and visualize dependencies on the canvas.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- A Jira Cloud account- Jira Server/Data Center is not currently supported
- Admin or project admin access- To the Jira workspace you want to connect
- Organization owner or admin role- In Forese.ai
Setup Steps
Navigate to Integrations
Log in to your Forese.ai dashboard, click on Settings in the sidebar, select Integrations from the settings menu, and find the Jira card.
Authorize Forese.ai
Click Connect to be redirected to Atlassian's authorization page. Select the Jira site you want to connect and review the permissions being requested.
Configure Sync Settings
Choose your sync mode: Manual Import (import on-demand), Galaxy Sync (auto-sync to Knowledge Graph), or Both for the best of both worlds.
Verify Connection
After configuration, you'll see a Connected status with your Jira site URL. Use the Test Connection button to verify the integration is working.

Troubleshooting
"Connection Failed" error
- Ensure your Jira site is accessible
- Check that you have the required permissions in Jira
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
"Token Expired" error
- Forese.ai automatically refreshes tokens
- If this persists, disconnect and reconnect your Jira account
"Insufficient permissions" error
- Verify you have read access to the Jira project
- Check your organization role in Forese.ai (must be owner/admin)
