Graph Time Travel
Review any point in your project's history. Compare snapshots, understand what changed, and see how your plan evolved.
What It Does
Graph Time Travel creates point-in-time captures of your Galaxy graph:
Manual Snapshots
Create snapshots before major changes or at project milestones.
Auto-Snapshots
Automatic captures before simulations, at milestones, and daily.
Diff Visualization
Compare any two snapshots to see added, removed, and modified entities.
Timeline Slider
Scrub through project history with playback controls.

Auto-Snapshot Triggers
| Trigger | When | Rate Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Simulation | Before running Monte Carlo | 1 hour minimum |
| Milestone Complete | When a milestone is marked done | 1 hour minimum |
| Daily Backup | Once per day | 20 hours minimum |
| Bulk Operation | Before large batch changes | 1 hour minimum |
Comparing Snapshots
The diff view shows changes between any two snapshots:
- Added: Entities that exist in the newer snapshot but not the older
- Removed: Entities that exist in the older snapshot but not the newer
- Modified: Entities with changed properties
Best Practices
Create a manual snapshot before making major scope changes or reorganizations.
Use descriptive names for manual snapshots (e.g., "Before Phase 2 Kickoff").
Compare pre- and post-simulation snapshots to understand what risks affected your timeline.
