Semantic Search
Find related information across all projects using natural language. Search by meaning, not just keywords.
What It Does
Semantic search uses AI embeddings to understand the meaning of your query, not just the exact words. This means you can search for "deadline risks" and find tasks related to "timeline delays" or "schedule concerns" even if they don't contain those exact words.
Traditional Search
Only finds exact keyword matches. Search for "deadline" and miss "due date" or "target completion".
Semantic Search
Understands concepts and synonyms. Search for "deadline" and find all time-related concerns.
How to Use
- 1
Open Galaxy
Navigate to the Galaxy view from your dashboard.
- 2
Enable Semantic Mode
Toggle the "Smart Search" switch in the search bar to enable semantic search.
- 3
Enter Your Query
Type a natural language question or phrase. Results will be ranked by semantic similarity.
- 4
Review Similarity Scores
Each result shows a similarity percentage indicating how closely it matches your query.
Example Queries
"What are the compliance requirements?"
Finds GDPR tasks, regulatory risks, audit milestones, and compliance-related documents.
"Integration testing concerns"
Surfaces API testing tasks, QA milestones, and risks related to system integration.
"Similar to the mobile app launch"
Finds other launch-related projects and tasks with similar scope or timeline.
Credit Cost
2 credits per search
Covers the embedding generation for your query.
Limitations
Semantic search requires entities to have embeddings generated. New entities may take a few moments to be indexed.
Very short queries (1-2 words) may produce less accurate results. Try adding context for better matches.
Search is scoped to your organization's data only. Cross-organization search is not supported.
